My second visit to Liphook this week, it seems Shackleton have let the cat out the bag though. I was greeted with Tea and cheesecake (bonus points here), then into the shooting range to chat with the Scouts and Leaders. A great exchange of information, with the leaders to see if I can help with ongoing projects.

Anyway, back to the business of rifle shooting. Liphook Scouts are looking for some silverware at next year’s National Scout Shooting competition. For this they need to be training on a regular basis. Fortunately they have a superb team of instructors, their own range and plenty of enthusiasm. This has led to them reforming Liphook Shooting Club, which neatly mirrors the Liphook Archery club.

Sorry no photos of the Archery, but here’s some of the shooting range in action!

Of course being a Scout Leader means we can have some fun too, sometimes it’s not just for Scouts. ‘Come and have a go!’ they said. It would have been rude to refuse. Proof is in the pudding as they say, I was quite pleased with my score…..

Bottom right, I sneezed….. honest !

Thanks to all the Scouts, leaders and instructors for a great week at Liphook!
