It’s always nice to go back to traditional Scouting. Doesn’t matter what it is you’re doing its a tried and tested formula that works. A big part of that for me is Scout Patrol tents. Big heavy canvas, wooden poles and lots of wooden pegs. Put up properly they are bobmproof!

Tonight on the field outside the Pavillion Liss scouts were learning (or reminding themselves) how they go up, under the watchful eye of the Young Leaders. With a few of the senior Scouts missing leading the patrols fell to the very capable Assistant Patrol leaders. Needing only minimal supervision from the adult team the youth members had three patrol tents up, checked and down within 90 minutes.

A fantastic achievement from all!

A really good evening at Liss meeting old friends and new leaders. Thanks for hosting me!
